- As she claims to have parents from Germany and France, Celes is fluent in both German and French. Obviously she's fluent in Japanese as she hails from Japan, but she also is fluent in English thanks to it being a requirement in various gambling tournaments. A translator was optional, but she was way too proud for that.
- She travels a lot. Gambling is her main way of bringing in the cash, as she cut off most ties to her parents, so she needs to be on the go a lot.
- Despite this, she does send money to them every so often. Don't expect a phone call or a letter, though.
- In her free time she writes poetry, but she kind of sucks at it. It's not that she can't skillfully put words together, it's just that it's more spooky and unsettling than anything else. Some people like that stuff, but most are put off by it. It also kinda reeks of narcissism.
- That coffin in her room? Sometimes she sleeps in it. Back in pre-despair times she once hide in it after inviting someone to her room and proceeded rise out of it vampire style. Leon didn't talk to her for a whole week after that.
- Actually possesses a collection of Fukawa's novels back in her apartment. They're a bit trashy and she thinks true love is a load of horseshit, but the girl's got a way with words and they're pretty romanticized.
- Apartment? Apartment. She moves a lot thanks to her tournaments. Hope's Peak is probably the only place she's ever stayed at for very long, aside from her days at home.
- Plays the piano fairly well. She's no Beethoven, but it's a hobby of hers. Most mover's hate her because of the size of it. Damn near had a fit when Jin Kirigiri wouldn't let her keep it. Claims her mother taught her to play.

SKILLS: Item Construction and Territory Creation
(Keep in mind my knowledge of this series is limited so I'm probably fucking something up.)
Most people would think that casters would be hurling fireballs and lighting. You know, keep it simple, right? And they'd be right if it were anyone else. But this is Celes and she's a gambler and loves games, so she does things a bit differently. For this AU let's imagine that she was a witch and a gambler, so her "normal" outfit would be the one she wears in DR and her "Caster" outfit would probably be some sort of frilly Elegant Gothic Lolita witch garb, complete with a big, fancy witch hat.
She's got basic abilities befitting a witch, such as being able to summon and ride on a broom, but aside from floating and cleaning her broom doesn't do much.
No, what she relies on is her magic. Mostly her Noble Phantasm and Territory Creation skill. Territory Creation allows her to manipulate the space around her and mold it into something she prefers...which is normally a massive chessboard. With the chessboard she can hide behind pieces and control them at will, but the drawback of this is...well...it's a chessboard. By that I mean she's bound by basic Chess rules. So if she wants to move a piece, that piece has to be able to move where she wants it to go; as in it has to have the free spaces necessary to move and the path chosen has to be one it can go on. So no rooks going diagonal and the like.
The pieces can be destroyed, either by her or her opponent, but if she wishes she can conjure up another one.
She can also make the area look like a giant roulette board, but that's more for show than anything else. Because really where is she going to hide and what is she going to toss at you.
Her go-to ability is Noble Phantasm. With this ability she can conjure up a small deck of cards. From the deck she draws 4 cards from the top and makes them expand and then orbit around her. These cards possess elemental and magical properties based on their background. So if she draws a card with a fiery background that means the spell fired from that particular card will be fire-based. Usually fireballs. She's got several others, such as wind, ice, water, etc, but not all of them can be used at once. Only four. And she can only use one at a time, not all four at once.
Every card in a deck of cards possess a number or has a numerical value. Kings, Queens, and Jacks each possesses the value of 10, while an Ace can either possesses the value of 1 or 11. With each spell used on a card, its value will decrease. So anything holding a value of 10 will automatically decrease to 9 and so on and so forth, until it reaches an Ace worth 1. Once the card's value has been reduced to 0, it will fade. She's able to swap it with any one of the 4 she has, but once its gone it's gone until all 4 cards have been used up. Which means if she draws 4 shit cards with high values she's pretty much boned.
TL;DR, her skills are luck based with a clear set of rules. She can be an extremely tedious and difficult opponent to face, or she can fall over like a gentle breeze. Her luck is unrivaled, though, but there's a first time for anything. Beating her requires learning how her game plays and beating her at it.
...as a warning, though, if she ever draws an Ace your best bet is to run like hell. Aces drawn possess a value of 11. This means she'll have 11 uses of this spell or...she can cash in its value of 1 to unleash one super strong spell based on the background.
